UPDATE ON ANDREW’S CONDITION:
Andrew was missing for weeks, but we FOUND HIM!!
In a most-recent video Andrew Yampolskiy of the Ukrainian band Homeless Radio is seen performing Nirvana’s Something’s In the Way, in a basement between Russian attacks and continuous shelling. Andrew, who recently released “The Truth” EP has been cut off from supplies and general provisions required to live.
For nearly a month Andrew has been cornered in a basement with his family trying to avoid sniper fire and Russian tank attacks. The neighborhood Andrew’s family used to call home has been destroyed by incessant bombing. Because we believe his music and messages of hope have put him personally at risk, we cannot share Andrew’s location at this time.
The area the Yampolskiy’s are hiding has been teeming with Russian spies and soldiers. Yet, despite the risk of his detection, Andrew continues to play his muted guitar and sing to his family to keep spirits up. The Truth is self-described as “Where surrealism unites with realism.” The EP is inspired by Jack from the Titanic movie: A relatable story of a courageous man living in his own way, unwittingly towards a pernicious end. The Truth satirizes this tragic tale from its opening track “Protect Us From the Truth.” The lyrics continue the theme culminating with an alternate ending in the closer: “Ship-song.”

ОНОВЛЕННЯ ПРО СТАН ЕНДРІЯ: Андрій пропав тижнями, але ми ЙОГО ЗНАШЛИ!! На останньому відео Андрія Ямпольського з української групи Homeless Radio можна побачити, як виконує пісню Something’s In the Way Nirvana у підвалі між російськими атаками та безперервними обстрілами. Ендрю, який нещодавно випустив EP «The Truth», був відключений від поставок та загальних умов, необхідних для життя. Майже місяць Андрій разом із родиною затиснутий у підвалі, намагаючись уникнути снайперського вогню та російських танкових атак. Околиці, яку родина Андрія називала домівкою, була знищена безперервними бомбардуваннями. Оскільки ми вважаємо, що його музика та послання надії поставили його під загрозу особисто, ми не можемо розповісти про місцезнаходження Ендрю наразі. Місцевість, де переховуються Ямпольські, кишить російськими шпигунами та солдатами. Тим не менш, незважаючи на ризик його виявлення, Ендрю продовжує грати на приглушеній гітарі та співати своїй родині, щоб підтримувати настрій.
